I'm gonna walk with Jesus!
That song is in my mind this morning! And I just realized the significance of "walk"! Yes, there are many plans in my mind, but God directs my path! And in order to walk, we must take steps! Now many may immediately go to goals and goal-setting. But I'm thinking about one literal step at a time.
And where are we walking? On a treadmill- going nowhere slowly? I always imagine walking with Jesus on a beach- probably because that "Footprints" story was engrained into my brain as a child.
I woke up with my "lofty" goals on my mind. And walking with Jesus means walking in surrender, submission, trust, and obedience. I was going to say easier said than done- but is it really?
Is it hard to follow Jesus when He walks with us?
If we are cognizant that He walks with us every step of the way- then I say no!
