Answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Are you a therapist, coach, or both?
Mrs. Monique Harris and all team members or representatives of Soul Remodeling are Therapeutic Art Facilitators and do not diagnose or treat mental health problems or provide licensed counseling sessions. We are not licensed therapists. Rather, we partner with clients to determine the biggest questions they want to explore, and create an experience for them to arrive at their own answers- based on what the client believes will work best for them. We also focus on present day instead of dissecting your past. In short- we offer support, not advice.
Do you only work with survivors of the traumas listed?
Yes. We believe empathy and relatability are absolutely necessary when supporting someone else. We would be doing you a disservice by trying to help you with something in which we have no experience. With that being said- some moms have found our tools and resources useful for other trauma such as: Postpartum Depression, Family Relationship Issues, etc.
What's the difference between "therapy" and "therapeutic"?
In order to be considered “therapy,” a mental health professional needs to be present and working with you. We are Therapeutic Art Facilitators. We are not licensed therapists.
Is therapy required before Soul Remodeling?
We strongly advocate for therapy before engaging with Soul Remodeling because we believe in therapy's benefits including trauma-processing and self-awareness. A licensed therapist is a mental health professional and has been trained and certified to diagnose and treat mental health issues. They are qualified to provide psychotherapy, medication management, and other treatments for mental health issues. Our therapeutic services help with creative self-expression, guidance, accountability, and support.
